The half-day tour is an opportunity to get to know the rural culture of the Val d’Orcia, a land of wheat fields, rolling hills and ancient castles. In Bagno Vignoni village, together with one of our environmental guides, we will visit the Mills Park, an architectural work of great historical and social value for the economy of the time. Passing through the Spedaletto Castle, we will have the opportunity to visit a mill that grinds ancient grains and produces bronze-drawn pasta.
To then reach Monticchiello, a still authentic medieval village, with a visit to the TePoTraTos Museum, a space rich in testimonies and suggestions of peasant and sharecropping life. Here we will get to know the community cooperative of the Teatro Povero di Monticchiello, which, around an original and committed idea of theatre, has undertaken a local development project, where the inhabitants are both producers and users of goods and services.
