The excursion is conducted by a licensed environmental guide, starting from the Ermicciolo Springs in Vivo d’Orcia to admire the waters that flow from the rock, and which will then be fed into the Aqueduct up to the city of Siena. From there, following a path in the beech and chestnut forest, we will follow an itinerary of medium difficulty to learn about the history of the ancient Monte Amiata volcano, with its geological and naturalistic peculiarities. If on the one hand the mountain is full of springs of cold drinkable water, on the other the whole area is rich in thermal basins with excellent therapeutic qualities. The culmination of our journey will be the town of Bagni San Filippo with a visit to the thermal river and the famous White Whale, a limestone concretion that offers a postcard backdrop. The tour is one way, there is a final transfer at extra cost.
