Bronzino is the restaurant hosted by the community cooperative of Teatro Povero di Monticchiello within its historic headquarters: an ancient 18th century granary, in Piazza Nuova, in the center of the village.
The philosophy of the cuisine includes strictly local products, use of seasonal ingredients, attention to the culinary tradition, but also some additional inventions, openness to gastronomic experiments, a varied and often renovated cellar, themed evenings.
The Taverna, housed in the suggestive crypt overlooking the central square of the village of Monticchiello, is managed directly by the Teatro Povero, which takes care of its opening for lunch and dinner on the occasion of long weekends, holidays and during the period in which the show is staged summer. The Tavern can also be rented for events: weddings, baptisms, parties and can accommodate up to 100 people, as well as taking advantage of the large external square.
A simple cuisine with local recipes passes down an ancient tradition of old knowledge and flavors.
Taverna Pan di Legno
In the village of Vivo d’Orcia, the Taverna is located within the headquarters of the community cooperative Parco Vivo, where the Water Museum and multipurpose environments immerse the visitor in the atmosphere of Monte Amiata and its riches. A rustic and welcoming restaurant, with a large Tuscan fireplace, offers authentic cuisine with always seasonal raw materials.
Great attention is paid to the local products that nature offers, used to cook every dish from appetizers to desserts, as well as for spirits and jams.
