A story of flavour
that speaks to the heart

The cuisine of our restaurants is rooted in respect for local traditions and a deep connection to the land. We offer authentic flavours passed down through time, selecting seasonal local ingredients to provide an experience that is, прежде all, a reflection of our rural heritage.

Our venues welcome both individual guests and larger groups of up to one hundred people, making them an ideal setting for conviviality and the celebration of special occasions. In addition to regular dining service, our spaces are equipped to host educational experiences such as cooking classes and tastings, designed for those who wish to discover the village’s gastronomic culture more closely.

our restaurants

The Bronzino is the restaurant run by the community cooperative of the Teatro Povero of Monticchiello, located in its historic headquarters: an ancient 18th-century granary in Piazza Nuova, in the heart of the village.

Its culinary philosophy is based on strictly local products, the use of seasonal ingredients, and a strong focus on traditional local cuisine, while also including some creative touches, openness to gastronomic experimentation, a varied and frequently updated wine cellar, and themed evenings.

The Taverna, housed in the evocative crypt overlooking the main square of the village of Monticchiello, is directly managed by the Teatro Povero, which opens it for lunch and dinner during long weekends, public holidays, and throughout the period of the summer theatre performance.

The Taverna can also be rented for events such as private celebrations, and can accommodate up to 100 seated guests. Through local recipes and authentic flavours, our simple cuisine preserves and passes down a heritage of ancient knowledge that defines the identity of the territory.

Taverna Pan di Legno

In the village of Vivo d’Orcia, the Taverna is located within the headquarters of the community cooperative Parco Vivo, where the Water Museum and multipurpose spaces immerse visitors in the atmosphere of Mount Amiata and its natural heritage. A rustic and welcoming venue, featuring a large traditional Tuscan fireplace, it offers authentic cuisine made with strictly seasonal ingredients.

Great attention is given to the local products provided by nature, used in every dish from starters to desserts, as well as for spirits and jams.
